As the Academy’s academic principal and chief academic officer, Dr. Olufowote is charged with overseeing the school curriculum, classroom instruction, and evaluation of the 30+ FTE faculty, administrative staff and support coordinators housed in the Office of Academic Affairs.
With a background in higher education, Olufowote spent almost two decades teaching as a university instructor, a postdoctoral fellow, professor of political science, and most recently as an executive director for inclusive excellence and international education. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance from the University of Indianapolis and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University. His scholarly work, which falls at the intersection of intercultural proficiency, cultural competence, and the workplace has been featured in outlets such as USA Today, the Association of Equipment Distributors Foundation and Komatsu, to name a few.
As a scholar-practitioner, Olufowote has been an invited speaker for the Forbes School of Business and Technology at the University of Arizona Global Campus, consulted for Indianapolis-based firms Meyer Najem Construction, Hirons Advertising, Purple Inc., among others, and is a past winner of Governor Holcomb’s State of Indiana Excellence in Education Award. Olufowote resides in Shamrock Lakes, Indiana, with fellow academic administrator wife, Rachael, and their two young daughters, Abigail and Elizabeth.

After receiving her degree in Office Administration and Administrative Support, Mrs. Manship came to the Indiana Academy to serve as the Assistant to the Director of Academic Affairs in June of 1993. In addition to her duties assisting the Director of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Manship is responsible for handling all Academic Life budget and textbook concerns, fees, ordering materials, completion of state departmental reports, and assisting with the administration of the computerized school system in use here at the Academy. In addition to Mrs. Manship’s administrative work, she attends computer technology and office management conferences and workshops throughout the year to further her knowledge.

Casey Schultz came to the Indiana Academy as the Associate Director of College Counseling and Student Engagement in the fall of 2022. She previously worked on Ball State’s main campus for over 10 years. Starting first in the Office of Admissions as an Assistant Director and most recently as a Lead Student Success Specialist for the Division of Online and Strategic Learning. Ms. Schultz earned her bachelor’s in Psychological Science from Ball State University, graduating from the Honors College in 2011. She then went on to earn her master’s in Executive Development for Public Service at Ball State (2015), followed by 2 graduate certificates (2018 & 2022), and is currently working on her EdD in Higher Education with a cognate in Community College Leadership. She is also a certified Academic Life Coach.
In her spare time, Ms. Schultz enjoys listening to audiobooks and podcasts, watching movies, spending time with friends and family, and never turns down a chance to visit Disney World. She also has two cats, Betty June and Pierce Brosnan. Ms. Schultz is looking forward to getting to know all of the Indiana Academy students more while talking about the best plans for them after graduation!

Hey everyone! My name is Hannah VanCoppenolle and I am currently pursuing my master’s in social work while also juggling a Graduate Assistantship at the Indiana Academy. When I am not buried in textbooks or working on assignments, you can usually find me enjoying a Twisted Soda from Twisters in Yorktown. In my downtime, I love spending time with my cat, Amycus, and treating myself to fresh nails. I am all about finding the right balance between my busy school life and the little things that make me happy. Looking forward to a fantastic school year with all of you!

In 2011 Mrs. Wright moved to Muncie and began teaching at the Academy. She studied mathematics and education as an undergraduate at Assumption College in Worcester, MA while she played on the basketball team for four years. She completed her graduate work in mathematics at the University of Maine. While teaching at the Academy she was an instructor of Statistics and Precalculus, among other math courses. She was an academic advisor for 12 years and in 2023 became the Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Guidance. Mrs. Wright enjoys puzzles, farming, and making sure her students graduate!

After receiving degrees in both Administrative Office and Business Administration, Ms Hall came to the Indiana Academy to serve as Faculty/Attendance Secretary in July of 1997. She accepted the position as Student information Technology Specialist in July of 2006. She works in the Guidance Office and assists the Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Guidance. She is responsible for the collections and data entry of transcripts, schedules, drop/add requests, grades, Ball State class requests, and student information updates. She creates and distributes the course catalogs, teacher schedules, room schedule. In addition to twenty-one years of administrative work at Ball State, Ms. Hall attends conferences and workshops to keep abreast of the latest computer technology and office management techniques.

Renee came to the Indiana Academy in August 2006 as the Faculty/Attendance Secretary. Prior to the Indiana Academy Renee worked for the Jay County School Corporation. Mrs. Drumm has been married for 25 years and has three children.
