The Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities is among the nation’s first public residential high schools focused on providing a well-rounded education for Indiana’s high ability students. We challenge and inspire students from across the state through residential, non-residential (commuter), and international student programs, as well as through online educational opportunities, and outreach programs.
As an academically advanced student, you deserve an exciting, world-class education. At the Indiana Academy our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of academically high-achieving students. As an Indiana Academy student you will enroll in honors, exploratory, advanced placement, and dual college credit courses as well as classes with Ball State University. The Academy curriculum includes Cell and Molecular Biology, Differential Equations, seven different foreign languages, creative writing, and many more offerings. Our classes average 15 students and are taught by outstanding teachers, a third of whom have doctoral degrees.
We offer college-level classes in a collegiate atmosphere with approximately 60 dual credit classes as well as Advanced Placement classes with the College Board. Additionally, we offer the AP Capstone/Institute for Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Biomedical Sciences. All students graduate from the Indiana Academy with the Core 40 with honors diploma and an average of 24 college credits.
Our students are attending colleges and university across the United States and around the world. As a graduating class they are receiving over $10 million in scholarship offers.
