Financial Assistance and Scholarships

Financial Assistance for Residential and Non-Residential Indiana Students

As a public school, there is no cost for tuition or textbooks for Indiana students.

Below, we have provided an overview of possible other costs including those for dual credit—where students earn college credit for their high school classes.

To assist with these possible additional costs, we have scholarships and three different tiers of income based financial aid for both residential students (living in our residential hall) and non-residential students (commuting to school).

Residential students, depending on income, may pay a room and board fee. There may be costs for residential and non-residential students opting to take dual credit classes. Likewise, there could be costs if students opt to rent equipment such as a laptop or graphing calculator, audit or take a class with Ball State University.

[Note: Information about costs for international students attending the Indiana Academy can be found at International Admissions.]

Our income-based financial assistance tier structure for the 2026-2027 school year has been updated for residential and non-residential Indiana students. We also have a few additional scholarships, including the Visit Scholarship, and those funded by alumni for students from specific high schools.
