Faculty Spotlight

Chris Buczek (Chemistry) joined the Academy faculty in the fall of 2018. After completing a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Psychology from Indiana University and a BS in Chemistry Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Trine University, Ms. Buczek received a Master’s in Science Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. In addition, she is halfway through a Master’s degree in Chemistry. At the Academy, she teaches General Chemistry and AP Chemistry. Read more about Ms. Buczek.

Dr. Phillip Lobo (English and current Department Chair) joined the Academy faculty in the fall of 2019. As an undergraduate at Tufts University he majored in English then went on to receive his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Southern California. Dr. Lobo has been published in journals such as Postmodern Culture, Game Studies, and Chiasma, on subjects ranging from ecocriticism to Japanese film. Read more about Dr. Lobo.
