Application Deadlines

Once you start an online application, it will be saved so you can return to complete it in multiple sessions. Be sure to upload grades from 9th and first semester of 10th grade. We will begin reviewing your application as soon as you have completed and submitted it, so don’t take too long to finish it!

Applying by the priority deadline on January 29 guarantees you the fastest decision time, and you will also receive priority registration for Summer Orientation if you are admitted to the Academy.

Eligibility

Indiana residents may apply as residential or non-residential (commuter) students. Applying to the Indiana Academy is free! If you miss the priority or regular admissions deadlines, we may continue to review applications and keep a waitlist if space is still available.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are living outside of the United States or living in the United States under a VISA, please contact Ms. Huey Shi Chew at 765-285-8130 or at hchew for how to apply as an International Student. International students are not eligible to attend the Academy during their tenth-grade year due to visa restrictions.

Application Review

Classes of 2026 and 2027 – Applications will go into review once they are completed and will receive a decision within a couple of weeks. Those completing their application by the priority deadline, if admitted, will receive priority registration for summer orientation.

Class of 2028 Applications – will enter review immediately following the priority deadline and will receive a decision within a couple of weeks. Those completing their application by the priority deadline, if admitted, will also receive priority registration for summer orientation.

Decision Notification

Admission to the Indiana Academy is selective and based upon previous academic records, recommendations, and student short-answer essays. Completed applications are reviewed by select members of the Academy faculty and administration. Once a completed application is submitted, you can track the progress of your application inside the Applicant Portal.
