Sophomore Opportunity
Please note that applications submitted after the Wednesday, January 29, 2025 deadline are subject to a waitlist based on available spaces. While we continue to review applications submitted after these deadlines, you must apply soon to receive a decision in time to attend Summer Orientation.
All admitted sophomore students will be non-residential (commuter) students during their first year at the Academy and can opt to be residential (live in our residence hall) for their junior and/or senior years. International students are not eligible to attend the Academy during their tenth-grade year due to visa restrictions.
Application
To be considered for one of our sophomore spots, please complete the application as soon as possible! Be sure to also submit transcripts/grade reports for your first semester freshman year, as well as your first grading period from second semester.
All applications for the sophomore spots will go into review on January 30, and you will be notified by email of the decision by mid-May.
All applications received after January 29 will be reviewed after decisions for the first group have been completed for any available spots or for a position on our waiting list. Students on the waiting list will be notified if a spot comes open for them. On August 4, those remaining on the waiting list will be notified that their admission has been deferred to the 2026-2027 academic year.
