8th Grade Invitational Hosted by the Indiana Academy
The 8th Grade Invitational is a new statewide academic competition created for high-ability 8th grade students across Indiana. Launching in the 2025–26 school year, this event brings together ten exceptional teams from different regional areas throughout the state to take part in a one-of-a-kind academic challenge.
Unlike traditional competitions, the Invitational focuses on logic, teamwork, and communication through activities that can’t be practiced in advance. Each challenge is designed to surprise, engage, and inspire creative problem-solving—all in a spirited, collaborative environment that celebrates intellectual curiosity and innovation.
