Prom 2019: Cherry Blossom
Prom will be held on April 13th, 2019 from 8 p.m.–12 a.m. and our theme is Cherry Blossom. The venue this year is the Ball State Student Center Ballroom.
After Prom will be held from 12 a.m.–3 a.m. at the Northwest YMCA in Muncie. There will be activities, games, food, and more. More information and opportunities to volunteer will be posted soon.
If your student is attending Prom, they must have a Travel Form on file. Please fill out this form and submit it to the Indiana Academy front desk by Monday, April 1st. Please note that this year, the Travel Form may be faxed, mailed, or dropped off at the Indiana Academy front desk in person. All forms received or altered after April 1st that cannot be verified or confirmed will NOT be enacted and will revert to previous permission. If no previous permission has been received and verified, the student’s Prom plans will revert to Academy Transportation only.
Is Your Student Bringing a Non-Academy Guest to Prom?
If a student wishes to bring a guest from another school, this Guest Permission Form will need to be filled out and sent in by Monday, April 1st. Please note that this form may be faxed, mailed, or dropped off at the Indiana Academy front desk in person.
Prom and After Prom tickets will be sold in Burkhardt Lounge during March. The ticket sale dates are listed below. Prom tickets cost $35 for a single, $60 for a couple. We accept cash and checks made out to Ball State University for Prom tickets. After Prom tickets cost $15 per person. After Prom accepts cash and checks made out to IAPO. Please pay for Prom and After Prom tickets separately.
- Sunday, March 10th from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 13th from 1:00–2:00 p.m.
- Sunday, March 24th from 9:00–10:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 27th from 1:00–2:00 p.m.
- Thursday, March 28th from 7:00–8:00 p.m.
- Sunday, March 31st from 9:00–10:00 p.m.
There will be a professional photographer at Prom and students will have the opportunity to order pictures. More information will be posted as Prom approaches about picture packages, where and how to order, and pricing.
Need flowers or tuxedos?
A local tuxedo vendor and a local flower vendor will visit the Academy on March 19th from 6:30–8:00 p.m. to take orders for tuxedo rentals, corsages, and boutonnieres. More information will be posted on this site and emailed to students as Prom approaches.
Parents! Want to volunteer?
We would appreciate any help with chaperoning, tear down, or donations! Please fill out this Volunteer Form and submit it to the Indiana Academy front desk by Monday, April 1st. This form may be faxed, mailed, or dropped off in person at the Indiana Academy front desk. Please note that there is a different form for volunteering at After Prom and will be posted soon in the After Prom section above.
