Prom 2026: A Night in Athens
Prom will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 7–11 p.m. with a theme of A Night in Athens. The venue this year is the Ball State Student Center Ballroom.
After Prom will be held from 10:30 p.m.–1 a.m. at the Muncie YMCA. This event is sponsored by the Indiana Academy Parents Organization (IAPO). For more information, please contact the IAPO at inacademyparents@gmail.com.
Travel Forms
If your residential student is attending Prom, they must have a Travel Form on file. Please fill out this form and submit it to the Indiana Academy front desk by Thursday, April 30. Please note that this year, the Travel Form may be faxed, mailed, scanned and emailed, or dropped off at the Indiana Academy front desk in person. All forms received or altered after April 30 that cannot be verified or confirmed will NOT be enacted and will revert to previous permission. If no previous permission has been received and verified, the student’s Prom plans will revert to Academy Transportation only.
If your student is in the Non-resident Early College Program or is a Homestay International Student they are not required to have a Prom Travel Form on file. Your student is welcome to travel between Wagoner Hall and After Prom via the provided shuttle if needed.
Is Your Student Bringing a Non-Academy Guest to Prom?
If a student wishes to bring a guest from another school, this Guest Permission Form will need to be filled out and sent in by Thursday, April 30. Please note that this year, the form may be faxed, mailed, scanned and emailed, or dropped off at the Indiana Academy front desk in person.
Tickets
Prom and After Prom tickets will be sold in Burkhardt Lounge and the front desk during the month of April. The ticket sale dates are listed below. Front desk ticket sales will be during business hours and will also be cash or checks only. Prom tickets cost $40 for a single, $70 for a pair. We accept cash, checks made out to the Indiana Academy, or purchase through the online link to pay with card at commerce.cashnet.com/BALL_EMS120 for Prom tickets.
